Scotch Beef Meatballs Tray Bake

    Preheat your oven to 180°C fan or Gas Mark 6
  • 2
    To make your tomato sauce, heat olive oil on a medium heat, add onions and sauté for 5 minutes
  • 3
    Add the garlic and the mixed herbs and cook for 2 minutes
  • 4
    Add the remaining tomato sauce ingredients and then allow to simmer gently
  • 5
    For the meatballs, use a large bowl and mix all of the ingredients together until completely combined
  • 6
    Shape into golf ball sized balls

    In a preheated pan, brown the meatballs in a splash of oil for 1-2 minutes on each side

    Once browned, add the meatballs and the sauce to an oven proof dish

    Bake for 30 - 40minutes

    Garnish with grated parmesan, chopped parsley, and a grind of black pepper

    Serve with garlic bread
